Abstract
The goal of this project was to determine whether this system reduces surface temperatures enough to prevent wildland fuels from igniting. To accomplish this we tested an ATV equipped with the Exhaust Insulator system and compared the results to that of a stock ATV. The temperature data was then analyzed to verify if the new muffler met its designer’s claims.
