Abstract
Alberta Sustainable Resource Development (ASRD) had been experiencing reliability problems with helitorch operations during cool/cold weather. ASRD organized a problem solving session for December 2007 and asked FPInnovations wildfire researchers to document results, summarize the tests conducted and provide recommendations for helitorch use in cold weather, as well as future research and documentation needs.
