Abstract
The Spitfire prescribed fire ignition unit by Firecraft Products Inc. is a new plastic sphere dispenser (PSD) with improved safety features and operational performance. The Sptifire unit is capable of air and ground ignition operations. FPInnovations was contracted to document the performance characteristics of a prototype Spitfire unit.
