Historically, performance assessments of water-enhancers have been challenging for various reasons: lack of test methods, costs, logistics, etc. Newly proposed visual methods of assessment, in combination with availability of water-enhancer capable heavy helicopter may lead to opportunistic data collection of water-enhancer performance on ignited fuels (slash piles) to assess the suppression performance in comparison to water and foam.
